On 5th September, Yardi held an executive meeting at the Double Tree Hotel by Hilton in Amsterdam. We gathered an elite group of professionals from the Dutch real estate sector to discuss the sector’s technology demands, its drivers and uses. One of the main questions raised in the group for discussion was, ‘will efficiency remain to be a dominant driver for technology?’
We had three interesting speakers at the meeting who helped to present an answer. Marya Yaqin, a market trendwatcher, covered developments in artificial intelligence and big data and how the two will impact new businesses, real estate management models and our personal lives.
Rodiaan Gijselaar of Merin also spoke at the event who explained the role of technology and innovation within the management and leasing of Merins commercial portfolio and how they inspire their renters using technology.
The third speaker was Richard Gerritsen, regional director of Yardi. He described Yardi’s vision on developments in Yardi technology as well as what to expect regarding new Yardi products and services in the pipeline.
With energy in the room, the meeting promoted lots of discussion amongst participants and proved to be a success. Amongst the participants were attendees from CBRE, Green, Merin, FRIS, Cushman & Wakefield, Reggeborgh and Confia.
